Give your eyes the attention they deserve with BrightSight, your daily omega-3 supplement for eye health, brain functioning, and visual performance.
Omega-3 is the number one most sold supplement today. So how do you stand out in the crowd where everybody does the same thing? Simple, do it differently!
We have taken one of the best Omega-3 in the world, from Golden Omega®. Fished from the shores of the south pacific, and exclusively from anchovy, the omega-3´s are carefully extracted in a patented filtering process that preserves the delicate and sensitive fatty acid chains. But it doesn’t end there.
One serving contains no less than 500mg DHA, and for a reason. DHA is the most abundant omega-3 fatty acid in the eyes and brain. Combined with XanMax® Lutein, and Zeaxanthin, AstaPure® Astaxanthin, plus vitamin D and E, BrightSight is one of the most advanced and potent high-quality supplements for visual performance and brain health.
BrightSight contains sustainable, eco-friendly ingredients with super fresh omega-3 that has exceptional low oxidation levels.
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for human health. Fish oil contains two types that benefit the body significantly, docosahexaenoic acid, known as DHA, and eicosapentaenoic acid, known as EPA. Besides the well-known effects on cardiovascular health and lowering triglycerides, omega-3’s (mainly DHA) also plays a significant role in eye and brain health. As a matter of fact, 15 – 20% of your cerebral cortex and 30 – 60% of the retina is made of DHA, making it the most essential for nutrient for brain and eye health. The highest levels are found in phosphatidylserine and phosphatidylethanolamine.
Low levels of DHA in the brain have been linked to depression and memory loss, and reduced cognitive functioning, to mention a few. Therefore, regular consumption of omega-3 fish oils can be a crucial factor for maintaining good cognitive health and brain function. But it doesn’t stop there.
Your retina naturally contains a high percentage of DHA, but over time it begins to decrease. A diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids will help delay the onset of retina degradation and maintain eye health. Several studies suggest omega-3 fatty acids may help protect adult eyes from macular degeneration and dry-eye syndrome. These adverse effects are becoming more common as we tend to spend more time in front of the computer.
Fished from the South Pacific Ocean, the fish oils, exclusively from sustainably fished anchovy, are extracted in the facilities strategically located near the fishing resource. Right after being caught, the fish oils are extracted through a patented, delicate cold extraction method that preserves the freshness and quality of the omega-3’s.
Besides the high DHA and EPA content, we mention quality a lot, and for a reason. When it comes to fish oil, quality, or freshness, might be the single most important factor for determining if you reap any benefits at all. In the world of fish oils, talking quality means talking about oxidation levels.
The omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil are sensitive and susceptible to oxidation. The reason omega-3’s spoil quickly is because they are polyunsaturated and contain a large number of reactive double bonds. The chemical structure makes them extremely flexible in the cell membrane, which is why DHA, for example, is by far the most common fatty acid in the brain and eyes. It is the same chemical structure that makes these fatty acids so vulnerable to oxygen.
Once fish oil has started to oxidise, there’s no going back, and it’s only a matter of time before the omega-3’s is rancid, counteracting the benefits of omega-3’s. Rancid fish oils are harmful to your health, no doubt about that. In animal studies, oxidised fatty acids have been found to cause inflammation and organ damage, among other adverse effects.
Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about quality anymore. We have taken care of that, delivering an outstanding amount of 500mg DHA and 100mg EPA per serving, from Golden Omega®. And the best part? You need only one serving per day to get recommended amounts omega-3’s.
Scientists have long known that the yellow colour, or pigment, in the macula comes from carotenoids, lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin, collectively known as macular pigment. The macular pigments belong to the xanthophyll family of carotenoids and possess strong antioxidative properties. Xanthophylls are fat-soluble pigments, naturally synthesised in plants and algae to protect them from blue light. Lutein and its close relative zeaxanthin play a critical role in the prevention of age-related macular degeneration, which is the leading cause of blindness1.
According to scientific research, there is a growing consensus that macular pigment is essential for visual performance, due to its blue light filtering properties and antioxidant properties, which protects the macula from degeneration. Higher concentrations of zeaxanthin in a lutein-zeaxanthin combination, in food supplement formulations, may contribute to enrich the macular pigment. Lutein is far more common in our diet as well as in our bodies. However, zeaxanthin appears to be a more potent antioxidant 2. Long-term depletion of the macular pigments has been associated with eye diseases, skin ageing, and atherosclerosis 3, 4. The reason might be a lower defence against free radicals in certain body tissues, especially the eyes.
Carotenoids have also been shown to be necessary for brain functioning. New research indicates it even might play an important role in several different processes ranging from neuroplasticity to neurogenesis. The macular pigments primarily accumulate in the macula (central retina) of the eye. They are also present in the brain and evidence suggests a close correlation between concentrations in the brain and retina. In a four-month, double-blind placebo-controlled trial, older women were supplemented with 12mg lutein/day, 800mg DHA/day, or a combination, verbal fluency scores increased significantly in all three groups. Memory scores and learning rates improved significantly in the combination group, who also showed a trend towards more efficient learning. The study suggests that macular pigment not only plays an essential role in eye health but also in brain functioning.5, 6
XanMax® is a standardised, high-quality Marigold extract, made from non-GMO, carefully selected marigold plants through a delicate, eco-friendly patented process. One dose of BrightSight contains 10 mg lutein, and 2 mg zeaxanthin (1,3 mg meso-zeaxanthin, 0,7 mg trans-zeaxanthin).
The algae produce astaxanthin to protect itself from stressful environmental conditions, such as lack of nutrients, increased salinity, lack of water or excessive sunshine. Astaxanthin enables the algae to preserve its DNA from damage and can stay hibernated for many years if needed. This remarkable ability demonstrates the power astaxanthin possesses. In fact, astaxanthin is 6 000 times stronger than vitamin C, 800 times stronger than Q10 and 550 times stronger than green tea. In fish and shellfish, astaxanthin protects the delicate fatty acids from oxidation, and also helps the salmon with the endurance they need to swim for 2 000 miles upstream, as well as powering birds incredibly bright sight.
Cholecalciferol, also known as Vitamin D3, is an essential vitamin for our health. It is naturally created in the skin when exposed to sun, specifically UVB radiation. Vitamin D contributes to our health in many ways, including the maintenance of normal muscle function, bones, and the immune system.
This was really fresh and a great product. Big plus for the small capsules!
Love the brightsight
I have been using BrightSight for +1 month now, and what can I say? This Omega-3 supplement is by far the best I have been taking, and I have tried several. Sensitive stomach, I always get stomach pain when I take Omega-3s on empty stomach. This is NOT the case with this one. Also, a couple of nights ago, I noticed that my vision was better. We are talking about sharper focus on my vision, colors were crisper and best of all, no more dry, sore eyes from all those hours in front of the computer. This supplement, I can really recommend from my heart. A big plus for considering us who don’t like big, awful capsules. These small ones are neat.
